July 2010: International Business Award: Distinguished Honoree
playnik.com has earned a Distinguished Honoree medal in the category “Most Innovative Company of the Year in Europe” in the 2010 international Business Awards. Honorees were selected from more than 1,700 entries received from organizations and individuals in more than 40 countries.
May 2010: Red Herring 100 Europe
After having presented our teams’ achievements at the Red Herring event in Paris in May 2010, playnik.com was awarded the Red Herring 100 Europe award. Red Herring’s Top 100 Europe list has become a mark of distinction for identifying promising new companies and entrepreneurs. Red Herring editors were among the first to recognize that companies such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo, Skype, Salesforce.com, YouTube, and eBay would change the way we live and work.
May 2010: European Business Awards 2010: Country Representative
Although we did not win this award, we made it to the final round as a country representative. So well done playnik team but better luck next time…
June 2009: OnlineStar ’09
Together with the Internet World Business Idee 2009 award playnik.com also received the OnlineStar 2009.
June 2009: Internet World Business Idee 2009
The internet magazine “Internet World” every year nominates a jury that selects 20 start-up companies. Those companies are then subject to a public voting process. In June 2009 playnik.com was elected by its users as Business Idee 2009.
Nov 2008: Venture Lounge “Internet, IPTV, Mobile & Games”
In November 2008, when playnik.com was only a few months old, Torsten and I presented our company in front of a panel of investors and advisors that voted us 1st winner. Ten companies had been selected out of some 50 applicants and were invited to present their business ideas.
